Making oil infusions

What to expect

In this hands-on workshop, we will explore topical oil infusions that can support us pain management. Together we will work with a few beloved plant relatives that span a vast spectrum of wild to cultivated. We will talk about the specific qualities of each of plant relative, how and where they like to grow, and also how to harvest wild relatives with permission and consent.

Key Learning Goals

(1) participants will learn about two wild plant relatives that grow in our region.

(2) participants will learn about how to infuse dried plant material into oils

(3) participants will discuss different herbs that are more commonly found in gardens

Mick Rose is one of two Co-Directors at Prismid Sanctuary - a Black and Indigenous co-stewarded place in North Portland that serves as a nourishing place for creative practice and rest for BIPOC artists and cultural workers. They bring over 20 years of experience as an Indigenous community cultural worker, advocate and artist working in Native non-Profits at the intersection of land stewardship, youth advocacy, public health, and cultural arts in Portland.
